Dear Geoff, Sue & the team at The River Deck, Thank you so much for all the hard work you put in to make our wedding reception such a wonderful night. From the time we first made contact with you 9-months ago, you have made planning our Noosa wedding from Melbourne so much easier. Your advice on local decorators, celebrants, ceremony locations, accommodation (to name a few....) was so valuable - you pointed us in the right direction on many occassions! Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere that you and your staff provided - the food was a hit and as you already know, the drinks were definately enjoyed! The breakfast you provided the following morning was a welcome relief for those feeling a little exhausted from the previous nights' antics, and was a great opportunity for everyone to re-live the laughs and fun times that we had all shared. Ourselves, our family and our friends were made to feel so welcome at The River Deck - we would not hesitate to recommend your wonderful services, and we would encourage other engaged couples who are considering a Noosa wedding to definately come by and see you at The River Deck. We are so thankful that we had breakfast at The River Deck that morning and that you asked us what we were up to that day. From the moment we first spoke to you throughout the lead up and the wedding day itself, nothing was too much trouble. Although you had countless other weddings you made us feel like ours was the only one. We want to thank you for your idea of the boat cruise for our guests whilst we had photos, this was a massive hit and I was told the staff you provided on the boats were fantastic and the canapes were scrumptious. The reception itself 'WOW' the place looked fantastic, there was a great atmosphere, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food and wine was exceptional. We received so many good comments from our guests. It's hard to put into words how thankful we are for making the most important day of our life such a fantastic one, so from the bottom of our hearts

From the last minute change in ceremony venue, to the travelling umbrella which escorted the bridal party to the ceremony - your help was sincerely appreciated. Unfortunately because it was such a wonderful day we have come home and were disappointed to realise how quickly the day has passed us both by. Thank you once again. Everyone said so! so it's not just a biased bride talking. A lot of the credit goes to Sue Baxby at the River Deck Restaurant, who made certain that the wedding and reception was perfect, and all the prior organising very easy and stress free. When first approaching restaurants in the Noosa area to find a venue for the reception, I was generally underwhelmed with the lack of interest I encountered. When I rang Sue, I was so pleased to find someone who was not only welcoming and enthusiastic, but had a wealth of experience in wedding functions. We met her later that day at the restaurant and were so confident about the menu, the venue, (plenty of room for a wedding, with large decks overlooking the river - stunning!), and Sue's skill that we set a date and booked there and then! I had no idea what needed to be done to organise a wedding now that I had the venue, but Sue was so helpful with all aspects of arranging the wedding that a daunting task was made fun. Nothing was too much trouble for Sue, and with all her experience nothing fazed or dazed her! The big day was a dream! We had perfect weather for our outdoor ceremony, Sue had decked out the restaurant so beautifully; with lovely lighting, tables perfectly set and of course superb food! Surrounded by family and friends it really couldn't have been nicer! If you are looking for the perfect venue for your wedding, I really couldn't recommend Sue and The River Deck Restaurant highly enough! Just wanted to pass on our sincere thanks to you for everything you did to make our wedding such a special occassion. We were so impressed by everything you did for us and cannot thank you enough for all your help before, during and after our reception. We had a lovely time, it was more special than I could ever have imagined. The food was exceptional, service was warm, friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was peaceful. My family commented on how fantastic the day had been, and the reception at the River Deck was simply the 'icing on the cake'. We thoroughly enjoyed the night, and look foward to coming back again to enjoy your hospitality. "My partner and I were so lucky we found River Deck Restaurant. We originally booked another venue which fell through close to the wedding. But luckily for us we found River Deck. Sue was so helpful. Daniel and I live in Brisbane so it was a bit hard for us to get to Noosa all the time but Sue just worked in with what was convenient for us. The restaurant looked amazing set up. It is such a beautiful spot at the Marina. With the main dining area, the decks at the back and sides and the lounge area at the front there was plenty of room for guests to chat, and mingle. There was a good variety of menus available, and all our guests commented on how amazing the food was. All the wait staff were polite and friendly and this helped achieve the perfect atmosphere for our wedding. Daniel and I both had an amazing day and regardless of whether our first venue had fallen through or not we would definitely choose River Deck over all the many others we looked at. Thanks Sue and team for making our wedding reception better than we could have ever imagined.
